This weekend, the Province of Misamis Oriental together with DepEd  Region 10 and the City of Cagayan de Oro will be hosting the 2010 National Finals of the National MILO Little Olympics.

Last July and August, about 30,000 students from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and the NCR vied for a slot to the National Finals which is set to open with a grand program this Friday, October 15, 2010.

The Opening Ceremonies, set to start at 4pm will be showcasing the talents of different dance groups within the region starting with a playground demonstration of 3,500 students from MOGCHS.

The highlight of the Program will be the symbolic lighting of the Friendship Urn and the Grand Fireworks display.

1,500 Athletes and Officials from all over the country will vie for the National Championship which Team Visayas is set to defend.

In last year’s edition of the National Finals, Team Visayas overwhelmingly won the National Championship as it won majority of the individual events.
