SAVEMORE Market opened its first branch in Cagayan de Oro City Monday at the Market City Agora along the corner of Agora Road and Gaabucayan Extension.
Jojo Tagbo, vice president for operations, said Savemore Market is a neighborhood store that prides itself of great merchandise selection, convenience and excellent customer service.
The P100-million 3,300-square meter Savemore Market is a stand-alone full service supermarket owned and operated by SM Supermalls. It is its 35th branch in the country.
“Savemore is SM’s way of bringing in the SM shopping experience nearer to where our shoppers live and work. It is much smaller compared to SM but the merchandise list is complete,” Tagbo said.
He said Savemore Market is a store extension of the house, a one-stop air-conditioned store that brings closer to where their costumers live and work.
“Instead of customers having to go to the mall, SM has now become a part of their neighborhood,” Tagbo added.
He said travelers who frequent the nearby Agora Bus Terminal will find Savemore Market in the city as a convenient stop-over for their instant supermarket and last-minute pasalubong needs with its wide selection of grocery items including high quality yet affordable SM bonus products, fresh sections, budget friendly meals and food stalls.
As a one-stop-shop, Savemore Market also offers ATM, bills payment, remittance, pharmacy and money exchange services.
“SM Supermarket and SM Hypermarkets are destinations that our customers have to plan to go to. Savemore Market, on the other hand, being part of the neighborhood, creates convenience for impulse purchases or last-minute needs,” Tagbo said.
He added that Savemore Market plans to open two other branches in the city next year, one of which is located in Capistrano St., and will be opening 41 more stores nationwide.
“We at Savemore are committed to provide and cater to the needs of everyone with the cool and complete shopping experience,” Tagbo said.
Monday’s opening was attended by Mayor Vicente Y. Emano and other local entrepreneurs and suppliers of SM.
